Bridge India is a Partner for the Cambridge India Conference this Thursday, featuring Ram Madhav (India Foundation), Atishi Marlena (AAP), Pawan Khera (INC), Ashneer Grover (BharatPe) and others.
We’re also holding an In Conversation With: Pawan Khera event the following day in London for Members and friends of Members.

Thank you to all our Members for coming to an incredible evening of art and music hosted by Ketna Patel a few days ago. Abhishek Borkar was on the sarod, Saberi Misra sang some haunting melodies including from Gangubai Kathiawadi, Kashmiri writer Farah Bashir spoke of the strand of Persian / Farzi / Sufi poetry weaved into the fabric identity of present-day India, Tara Douglas spoke about raising awareness of Indian tribal culture and involving tribals in digital media projects to make their arts more widely accessible. Dinner was a vegetarian Persian-inspired gourmet buffet, and the bar was open all night for special cocktails.

We’re delighted to welcome Anuj Radia as our newest Member. He is an independent entertainment journalist/presenter based in London. He founded www.filmeshilmy.com in 2018 and has since evolved in to becoming a popular outlet which covers the latest film news, reviews, features and interviews. He has interviewed some of the biggest names in Bollywood and Hollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Riz Ahmed, The Russo Brothers, Gurinder Chadha, Zachary Levi and more. He worked with Deadline Hollywood and covered the Oscars 2021. He is vocal about accurate cultural representations in the West, LGBTQIA+ rights and has participated in campaigns for mental health awareness. Anuj regularly hosts events at film festivals and recently has hosted on TV and radio too.
Neelima Penumarthy produces audiobooks and puppet shows that convey timeless stories from India in just an hour. Uniquely, she works with teenagers as writers and narrators for her audiobooks, which have won a lot of acclaim and are also available on both British Airways and Qatar Airways in-flight entertainment. Her 15-minute puppet show conveys the Diwali story with six beautifully handcrafted puppets.

Rajesh Jain was one of the few persons of Indian origin, and the only non-residential Gujarati awarded the title of Coronation Champion by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla. The 57-year-old engineer was invited to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Read more on Times of India here.
