In November 2015, then PM David Cameron said a time would soon come when there would be a British-Indian Prime Minister.

Congratulations to Rishi Sunak for becoming the first ever British Prime Minister of Indian origin, that too on this auspicious occasion of Diwali.

As the country faces strong economic headwinds, a cost of living crisis, and foreign policy challenges, so we wish him the best of luck in tackling these in the year ahead, and Happy Diwali.
