And some Member news.
Hi there,
Bridge India is delighted to be the the recipient of the Most Dedicated Public Policy Non-Profit award from Acquisition International Magazine in this year’s Non-Profit Organisation Awards. Just over three years ago, we were called “change-makers” by Indian TV channel NDTV, and today we have Members from across eight countries.
Kaviesh Kinger, from the Bridge India Secretariat, said: “This Award is a testament to the growth that we’ve had as an organisation, launching as a non-profit just before the pandemic, and being able to engage stakeholders right across the spectrum with thought leadership, discussion opportunities and leading events.”
Our next event is In Conversation With: Sanjoy Roy on 19 July in London. He is the Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, which produces over 25 highly acclaimed performing arts, visual arts and literary festivals across 40 cities including the world’s largest free literary gathering, the annual ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival, the London edition of which happened just a few weeks ago.

On 19 May 2023, the Reserve Bank of India announced the withdrawal of the Rs 2000 note from circulation. The RBI asked citizens to no longer use this note by 30 September.
What does this mean for ordinary citizens and what might the impact on the economy be? Our next Substack delves into this in more detail.
